What We Collect

Doodles & Dreams collects and stores the following information when you use the app:

• Account information: your email address, name, and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google.
• Children's information: first names and ages of the children whose drawings are uploaded, as provided by the parent or guardian.
• Uploaded drawings: the original images you upload.
• AI-generated content: dream images, bedtime stories, audio narrations, and story illustrations created from your drawings.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Doodles & Dreams service: storing your gallery, generating stories and illustrations from your drawings, and creating audio narrations. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party AI Services

To generate content from your drawings, your data is processed by the following third-party AI services:

• Anthropic (Claude) — generates bedtime stories and plans illustrations
• OpenAI (GPT-4o) — creates dream images from drawings
• ElevenLabs — generates audio narration of stories
• fal.ai / Ideogram — generates story illustrations

These services process your data according to their own privacy policies. Drawing images, children's names, and story content may be sent to these services as part of generation requests.

Data Storage

Your data is stored using the following infrastructure:

• Database: Turso (libSQL) for structured data (accounts, entries, stories)
• File storage: Cloudflare R2 for images and audio files
• Hosting: Vercel for the application

Children's Data

Doodles & Dreams is designed to be used by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. The account holder (parent or guardian) is responsible for all data entered into the app, including children's names and ages.

We collect only the minimum information needed to personalise stories: a child's first name (used as a character in generated stories) and age (used to calibrate story complexity). No surnames, addresses, or other identifying information is collected.

Cookies

Doodles & Dreams uses a single session cookie for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party cookies.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data through your account
• Delete individual entries (which removes all associated stories, audio, and illustrations)
• Delete your account entirely, which permanently removes all your data from our systems
